I really need some help here. I have a brand new LS376/480. I have tried 3 gauges (two electrical and one mechanical) and can't get an oil pressure reading. I removed the gauge and cranked the engine and nothing.

In the Fords, they cut the fuel pump power. On my car, I spliced it into the ECM power wire. The GM P4 ECM looked at oil pressure on cranking, otherwise the only "still running" signal it cared about was the spark signal. As long as the fuel pickup wasn't sucking wind, the engine would happily run upside down with no oil pressure.
I have the same problem. Cold start oil pressure is good .once engine is warm pressure gauge on dash goes to zero. Put a mechanical gauge in @ 1/8 port on rear section of oil cooler. Reads 50 when cold. Once warm it drops down to 9-10 . I replaced the lpop and rear section of oil cooler where the relief valve is. No change .front cover looked fine.
